State Academy for the Deaf Library/Media Center Faribault, MN THE SHARED VISION: Create a modern, high tech media center and middle school on a campus and building on the National Register of Historic Buildings. THE INNOVATIVE DESIGN: The exterior and main academic areas of the building were maintained and restored. The service basement was rebuilt and transformed into a bright, high tech media center.
	< This project renovates a 90-year old building for a campus library and middle school, which is now the technology center for the campus.
	< A spacious, airy, modern library is created where once an oppressive storage basement existed.
	< Instruction in the use of cutting edge/interactive technologies is vital for all, but particularly enabling for the student population at this Minnesota Academy for the Deaf. This computer lab is located in the library to be accessible to students after classes.
