Engan Associates
of Willmar, Minnesota was started over 25 years ago by Richard
Engan. Richard began his career in 1967, serving in the Peace
Corps as an architect and engineer in Bolivia, South America.
His volunteer efforts continued to take him around the world,
working on projects in Moshi, Tanzania, East Africa. After
that, Richard spent six years working at a Willmar firm, before
founding his own business in 1979.
In
2004, Engan Associates purchased one of Willmar's historic
downtown buildings to restore and remodel for their new office
space. The charming brick building was built in 1920 to house
the local newspaper - The West Central Tribune. It offered
a wonderful mix of quality construction and interesting history,
giving them a prominent downtown location. The spacious offices
also allow for a larger staff and additional work and meeting
areas.
Our Engan team has now grown
to include 15 employees.
