Engan Associates has extensive experience with church additions/remodels. Examples below show the variety of building styles involved in these projects.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Murdock, MN

THE SHARED VISION: Adapt this beautiful old church to the needs of the 21st Century. This includes accessibility, new rest rooms, congregational gathering area, meeting areas and church offices.

THE INNOVATIVE DESIGN: The design compliments the existing church design through the use of related massing, similar detailing and matching materials.

Trinity Lutheran Church
Grove City, MN

THE SHARED VISION: Provide a new church home for three merging congregations through the updating and improving of one of the church buildings.

THE INNOVATIVE DESIGN: The site sensitive design adds a new narthex, fellowship hall and offices. Keeping the addition low preserves the integrity of the original design, keeping the focus on the original steeple.

Tracy Lutheran Church
Tracy, MN

THE SHARED VISION: To serve the Tracy Lutheran congregation better through accessibility, expanded and improved quality educational facilities, public restrooms,
adult gathering areas and new church office.

THE INNOVATIVE DESIGN: The original roof line of this church is maintained in the addition. A library, handicapped accessible restrooms, choir storage, and parish lounge are created in the addition. The addition fits seamlessly with the original building utilizing the same cut stone. New partitions provide additional educational space.

Immanuel Lutheran Church
Atwater, MN

THE SHARED VISION: Adapt this 1870’s building to current and future needs, improve fellowship and feeling of welcome.

THE INNOVATIVE DESIGN: Glass-enclosed narthex and arrival canopy give a warm, welcoming look to the church. The narthex provides a new gathering space. Combined with new church offices, rest rooms, nursery and library it forms a courtyard.
