"In a project this size ($6.1 million)
communication and coordination of initial planning was very
important. We feel the architect listened to our staff and the
final design physically reflects our patients' space needs and
organized our staff areas better than we anticipated, to say
the least."

: Getting Started
The first step in your building project is to
develop a SHARED VISION. Engan Associates assembles a core
team uniquely qualified to meet your needs. The team includes
you the client, the architect, project manager, designer and
construction administrator. During this phase, sometimes called
the “predesign” phase, we will do some or all
of these things:
Review needs and mission of the project
Complete a needs study
Select a site
Analyze the site
Do an existing building condition survey
Do an Historic Building survey
Discuss and establish options
Do a preliminary Building Code review
Do a preliminary cost summary
Discuss and establish a timeframe for the
project
The outcome is a VISION for the project which
is SHARED by all members of the team.
“Consensus on need is an important
early step in the success of a project”
