Project Turnabout
Granite Falls, Minnesota

THE SHARED VISION: Rebuild after a devastating tornado with a master plan that reflects the program’s philosophy. Recovery at Project Turnabout is spoken of as a whole new world.

THE INNOVATIVE DESIGN: The design utilizes the natural environment and residential scale in creating a lifestyle environment which enhances feelings of self-esteem and well-being. Emphasis on rock outcroppings, and the restoration of native prairie grass and cactus graphically illustrate that life can be a new world, different and beautiful.

< This facility is built on a residential scale around rock and native prairie. The walkway windows provide natural light as you journey to dining, activities and lectures.

< The core area in each "house" is the common living area. Treatment is centered in the "house."

< The spiritual center is a unique space designed for meditation and intimate treatment sessions.

<Wood trim and residential detail create a medical facility with a non-institutional feeling.

< A flexible lecture room provides comfortable space for daily speakers and videos.
